What can you learn from others without really even trying at first?

Today I am going to write about someone very close to my heart. Her name is Ms. Hallman and she is such a wonderful person. She is actually my job coach and we work together at Homewood Suites in Valley Forge. I want to thank her for her patience and just believing in me when I thought I couldn't do a good job. She taught me something that I am thankful for and that is believing in yourself, and self confidence. I also want to thank her because I wouldn't be out in the working world without her experience and tips/lessons. I thought I would never have to see us separated but that thought changed on October 18th when I found out she is leaving for 6 months for treatment. I was devastated but most of all speechless. I got the news on my shift at homewood and I was so upset that I tried to avoid her for awhile. But, then I thought to myself about what I should do and I figured it out. I went to find her and I started telling her all the good memories at homewood and I also decided to get my act together because I figured out my role in her life for the time being. I am going to be her support and foundation just as she was for me. She needs all the support she can get and I know I am the perfect solution. I also talked to her boss about throwing her a get well gathering before she leaves and I got it approved. I also wrote her a letter and gave her a book about dogs and their heroism. Then I asked her something that I think touched her heart. "What would you say if you don't have to leave this job?" She responded, "What?" I said " Well I might be crazy but I have this idea that might actually work. This idea is what if I made a Film once every month to tell you how homewood is doing and so your friends and coworkers can talk to you." She responded, "That is one crazy idea but I love it." I then said well you just got yourself a deal." That day I put a smile on her face and right then I knew I was on the right path.
Here I am today still putting that smile on her face and keeping her and I out of the dumps. I will do anything to help her, but I didn't know that when I help her I also help myself. She is the bravest person I ever met because this is just her first time getting sick its her second time and she still has the same attitude. That attitude is " I will be back because I am going to beat this once and for all."
